The thing about curves…
What the wedding industry deems as plus sized is just a bunch of regular sized woman who are beautiful and healthy. My average bride is not usually at size 5 or below but a healthy size 8 or higher. Sometimes much higher.
Is she any less special, any less loved? Any less beautiful? Not to me and especially not to the one she is marrying. So in this article we will celebrate the curvy divas. You will find links to designers who carry Plus Size bridal wear and those who specialize in Plus size bridal wear and accessories as well as links to bridal shows of plus sized brides and photo shoots on their sites. Enjoy!
These three retailers/designers offer beautiful fashions for women with curves in addition to the regular sized bridal gowns. Most bridal designers are carrying larger sizes, but as it turns out, the experience can be daunting as most of the floor samples are geared toward smaller sized women. when done right, the designs take into consideration how best to show off the curvaceous bodies without losing style and beauty. Note how the designs still show off an ample bust, a defined waistline and flow into shapes that are appealing, balanced and appropriate. You may find some designers charge more for larger sizes but designer Alfred Angelo specifies on his site he does not.
