Keeping you posted on what’s trending in the wedding-sphere

December 2013 Edition

I am always interested in seeing the emerging trends in weddings. The predictions made by popular bridal publications and area experts, the “stylesperts”, wedding planners, and celebrities. Every year, every season it’s a different shade or color combination, a different wedding dance entrance, a style trend of photos, back drops, or wedding attire, a DIY trend or a new twist on tradition, A “must have” item your wedding day will not be complete without. Bravo to the trend setters, the sharers of great ideas, DIY brides, the creative geniuses that keep the wedding wheels turning and interesting. Thank you for feeding our wedding addiction, for making sure no two weddings are the same and keeping us in the know!

Holiday Trends

Here were are in the middle of the 2013 Holiday Season. Fall and winter brides have a huge chance of their venue already being decked out in holiday splendor. This equates to more saved and re-purposed dollars. Win, Win for everyone? The holidays have a myriad of color schemes, lets look at traditional red, white, ivory, green and gold. Using popular color schemes for the season can help with managing the cost of your wedding because they are easily and readily available. You can move away from tacky decor by using clean lines and shapes, minimizing the “Christmasy” effect by not overcompensating with wrapped gifts and ornaments.  A few well placed items go a long way.

Here are some beautiful holiday flower trends and ideas from my friends at Rose Oak Design in west Orlando.

Holiday pew, cake and reception tables, even altar decor can easily be styled into the holiday theme with a few creative containers and bobbles. Add a bit of bling and a few candles to make your florals even more outstanding.

Because our state can be in the 80’s one day and 32 a few days later during the holiday season. You could pull off almost any wedding dress. Here are a few ideas.
